ADSL4Less

ADSL4Less, registered in Jersey started providing broadband towards the end of 2003. ADSL4Less' mission is to provide the lowest priced broadband services; they concentrate on broadband as their main product and aim to maintain a streamlined and efficient business to help reduce costs to the consumer. This approach suits some consumers, but also means that new customers are exposed to charges for hardware such as modems as well as up front subscription charges which many of the other providers do not pass on to consumers. ADSL4Less are partners of Hotchilli Communications, a provider of internet and telecoms products based in the UK, all ADSL4Less customers are billed through Hotchilli.

AOL

AOL is one of the leading online interactive services provider to the UK, with more than 2.3 million members, including more than 600,000 on AOL broadband. AOL offers a range of online interactive services in the UK , including flat-rate, broadband and mobile.

Be

Be was set up as a privately-owned, independent ISP (Internet Service Provider) in October 2004 and started trading in August 2005. In June 2006, Be became a part of the O2 group. O2 comprises mobile network operators in the UK and Ireland, along with integrated fixed/mobile businesses in Germany and the Czech Republic (Cesky Telecom). O2 is a Telefónica company with more than 35 million customers across Europe.

BT

BT Group is one of Europe 's leading providers of telecommunications services. Its principal activities include local, national and international telecommunications services, higher-value broadband and internet products, and IT solutions. In the UK, BT serves over 20 million business and residential customers with more than 29 million exchange lines, as well as providing network services to other licensed operators.

Homecall

Homecall is the residential landline and broadband brand of Caudwell Communications - part of the Caudwell Group, one of Europe's largest independent telecommunications companies. Homecall offers a range of fixed line call and broadband bundle packages and line rental and were recently one of the first non - mobile telecom's companies to receive the British Standard Institute (BSI) kite mark for Metering and Billing, overseen by Ofcom.

IC24

IC24 is part of the Brightview Group, established in April 2001. Brightview has grown quickly into one of the UK's largest consumer internet groups and continue to invest in technological innovation and customer care.
Brightview Group are part of the Internet Service Providers Association and are one of the founder members of the Broadband Industry Group, set up to provide a voice to campaign for true competition in broadband.

ONE.TEL

One.Tel is one of the leading alternative long distance telephone companies in the UK with over 1 million customers. One.Tel launched its UK services in 1998 and currently employs over 600 people. It was acquired by Centrica Plc in June 2001. Centrica is a large group which owns a number of businesses in Europe and the United States including British Gas, Centrica business services, and Energy America as well as Onetel. It is a diverse business operating in the UK, United States , Canada and mainland Europe . Centrica provides gas, electricity, telephone, internet, and central heating services as well as loans and insurance.

Orange

Orange is part of France Telecom, one of the world's leading telecommunications carriers with excess of 147 million customers on 5 continents. As well as offering mobile & fixed line products Orange now offers broadband products under the re-branded Wanadoo name.

Supanet

Supanet is an Internet Service Provider established in 1998. It first entered the market with free internet access in March 1999 and is one of the fastest growing ISPs in the UK now, with over a million registered subscribers.
Supanet is a "real" ISP, meaning that they own their entire operating infrastructure and telecommunications company. This means customers calls come straight through from initial dial-up to Supanet where it is managed.
Supanet enjoys a close association with the Time Group. All Time computers carry Supanet as their preinstalled Internet Service Provider.

TalkTalk

TalkTalk is a new landline service from The Carphone Warehouse. TalkTalk was set up in 2003 by the Carphone Warehouse, more commonly known for selling mobile phones. The brand is beginning to establish itself and already has 650,000 customers. TalkTalk aims to attract a further 250,000 customers by 2005 and in order to achieve this will be offering new deals which they hope will appeal to new and existing customers.

Tiscali

Tiscali UK forms part of Tiscali S.p.A., headquartered in Cagliari, Italy. The UK company was launched in July, 2001 following the acquisitions of Liberty Surf, World Online and LineOne. Tiscali UK also acquired Tiny and Gateway ISPs.

Toucan

Toucan is part of IDT Europe, Based in London since 1998, IDT Europe is a subsidiary of IDT Corp. Toucan offers straightforward, value-for-money residential communications services to the UK consumer, including ToucanSurf and ToucanTalk, all listed on a single bill. With operations in 22 countries around the world, IDT provides the full range of telecoms services over its dedicated international network. Today, this network spans five continents, servicing Europe, USA, Latin America, Africa and Asia.

UK Online

UK Online was founded in 1994 and acquired by pan-European networking company Easynet in 1996 as a strategic move into the consumer ISP market. Easynet's network of unbundled local exchanges, covers more than 4.4 million homes across Britain. All UK Online Internet accounts have access to free spam filtering and parental controls.

Vartec

Vartec, based in Northampton was privately owned until 1st March 2005 when it became a subsidiary of TalkTalk and Carphone Warehouse. However they will continue to service their customers under the Vartec brand in England.

Virgin Media

Virgin media launched in February 2007 and are the first people in the UK to offer TV, Broadband, Home Phone and Mobile. Virgin Media merged from NTL, Telewest and Virgin.net.
